With the help of many I finally reached my target power of 300bhp. So how did I get there? First thing up was to fabricate a shield to keep hot air away from the air filter. After that it was a case of removing, wrapping, painting and refitting the headers, turbo and downpipe.
As an extra measure and to be sure I saw 300bhp I bought a re-cored MY00 intercooler. This is essentially an OEM unit with a much more efficient core fitted. The only major thing left then was the AVC-R before heading off to Edinburgh for the remap and rolling road.
Very special thanks to Andy Forrest for the map tweak and to Gerry at Dastek in Dalgety Bay for the power run. It was a very hectic week, as you can see, I didn't even have time to clean the car!
