FPR Adaptor: Design, Prototype + Production
December 2005

For a while i'd fancied the challenge of making my own fuel pressure regulator bypass adaptor. Having been less than impressed with FSE's attempt when i fitted it to the first Impreza i felt there was sufficient room for improvement to justify having a go myself.

I drew up the plans and after one failed attempt I managed to turn out a working adaptor. Screwing in a 8mm hose elbow and fitting an o-ring completed the part. Knowing that my dimensions were correct i added some finishing touches to the design before having a batch produced on a CNC mill.

These were cut to match the OEM regulator flange and come with a tougher Viton o-ring - not the kind that snaps the first time you fit it.... pouring fuel onto your turbo. They were also anodised for a durable finish.
