The Fridge Version 2
February 2006

After months of emails, photos, phonecalls and an RAC inspection, on the 27th of February i jumped on a plane bound for England to collect a Subaru Impreza WRX STi Version 4 Type RA.

Having never bought a car long-distance before i wanted to take every precaution possible before handing over the money. The RAC inspection tied in with how the vendor had described the car and this gave me the confidence to book a flight and trains etc. The journey down was smooth and i was greeted at the train station by a respectable gent and a gleaming STi RA.

The deal was done and some 600 miles later through wind, rain, sleet and snow i arrived home in my new car. The RA's close gearing proved to be fun on the motorway with 80mph requiring 4000rpm in fifth!

Anyway, plans are already developing for what has been christened as the Fridge V2. Top of the list is replacing the scabby inlet manifold and trial fitting the billet alloy fuel rails.
