Super Stoppers
October 2006

September was a relatively quiet month with the highlight being a group buy on some Version 3 Prototype Fuel Rails (to help get the final bugs ironed out of the design). I also picked up another wee bargain but I'll get to that later.

October was spent reaping the rewards of previous months. The main highlight being the arrival of my AP Racing brake kit. However, in order to fit the brakes i first had to fit wheels which would clear them. This led to me finally getting tyres fitted to the refurbished OZ wheels. Jim Kinsella at Turriff Tyres came through with a sparkling price on some Goodyear Eagle F1's so these were fitted along with some brand new centre caps i bought on eBay.

A couple of days later i set about fitting the brakes and bar a minor hiccup they bolted up nicely. The kit came from Ian Godney and i opted for the 335mm discs rather than AP's own 330mm discs due to Ians 12 month warranty offer and the fact I've heard a few rumours of the AP discs warping. Not something you want happening to discs that cost so much!

Remember the bargain i told you i got last month? Well when these immaculate 8 month-old 18" Prodrive PFF-7's came up for sale on my doorstep i just had to have them! I'm unsure if I'm going to keep them or not as i fancy a set of Speedline GT1's but we'll see what happens.
