Having owned the RA for almost a year i thought it was about time i treated the car to a polish. The mild weather we've been having recently made washing the car a doddle and with the car tucked up nicely in the garage i set about giving it a light t-cut followed by some polish.
You'll remember some time back i started designing my own wheel nuts. Well after my fruitless search for 3/4" 7075 grade hex aluminium and an attempt at turning them from stainless steel i gave in and ordered some from the States. Luckily i managed to find some tastefully anodised black and although the weight saving (18g each) is minimal they finish off the OZ wheels nicely.
Seeing as i don't smoke i decided to try removing the wind deflectors, unfortunately they left a mountain of 9 year old sticky residue that would've taken me days to remove. So it was off to the local bodyshop who did a sterling job of removing the glue minimising damage to the paint beneath.
Mark also popped round this month for a trial fitting of the STi 8 TMIC duct. All went well so the duct is now away being powder-coated along with a few bits from the cars engine bay. While he was round he also dropped off a centre section to replace my burst one in time for the looming MOT.
