Everything's Going To Be All White
July 2007

The major change to the car this month was getting the newly refurbished Speedline GT1's fitted. After much deliberation i decided to give Toyos R888 tyre a go in the end. Time will tell how they reckon!

Having never been 100% happy with the Hayward & Scott exhaust i fitted in February i decided to splash out on Revolutions 3" system. While it's not the most flow-conducive system on the market it fits the car like a glove and is subtle to the ear.

Something else which had been annoying me about the car was the Defi BF gauges. Due to their design when in direct sunlight they were almost impossible to read. I finally decided to bite the bullet and replaced them with white-faced gauges. Not so 'Gucci' but i hope they'll prove to be a little more functional. I saved a bit of money importing the gauges so also bought an Apexi expansion cap... which goes some way to restoring the cars 'Gucci' appeal.

I also picked up a 2.75" tall OEM-looking scoop which i hope to have sprayed ready for next months update. It's 1" taller than standard so should direct a good bit more air through the Newage STi intercooler.

As well as that i finalised the design for both my Newage billet fuel rails and an adaptor kit to allow OEM & billet Newage rails to fit a Classic Phase 2 manifold. You can just make out both in the last picture.
