August saw the SIDC National Day at Alford take place. For a £10 donation they offer as many laps on the sprint track as you can handle! This was my first time on track in the Subaru and in between marshalling i managed to get two dry laps in before the rain came on.
I was quite happy with my times as they were heading in the right direction before the onset of the rain. 68.09 was my quickest which just pipped Rob Doyle to fastest Subaru of the day. I was still some way off Callum Woods 63.85 in his hillclimb Evo 9 RS however!
With the rain on i managed a 70.07 which turned out to be 1.32 seconds off Callums best wet lap. Not bad on standard suspension! After spinning across the start line at the end of the wet lap i decided to call it a day!
Also this month my headers arrived from Harvey Smith. The lugs were ground off before being wrapped and fitted to the car along with the supplied 46.8mm ID up-pipe. Preparation for the TD05-20G turbo that should be arriving soon!
