As usual with my forays into web design the new website was in no way planned. Although pleased with the end result unfortunately my ambition got the better of me and the new site took up far more of my time than i had intended. Indeed, it still isn't finished... even though my CSS validates the site still isn't 100% cross-compatible in all browsers, particularly Internet Explorer 7. Bear with me as i plan to iron out the remaining few bugs within the forthcoming weeks.
As far as the Impreza goes i made a little progress this month. Worried about the potential for surge issues with the TD05-20G turbo i've avoided the large Samco inlet pipe. However, after hearing good reports about the Newage turbo inlet pipe i've decided to fit one of these to my car. The picture shows how much less restrictive the pipe is compared to the standard item.
Unfortunately the pipe isn't a straight forward fit. One of the lugs beneath the manifold has to be removed and the fuel pressure regulator reference port also has to go to clear the pipes breather tappings.
The other issue is sorting the pipework for the IACV - MY99 onwards cars have an integral IACV inside the throttle body. At present i plan to use and early Phase 1 IACV as the inlet to these orientates dowanwards. I then intend to tie this into the dump valve return hard-pipe that bolts to the manifold.
