Oil Pump, Separator & Sump! May 2008
August 2008
After returning the baffled sump i bought in March i was offered what was promised to be a far more professional affair by a fellow member on the 22B.com website.
The new sump arrived in August and is in a different league to the previous effort! This time the baffle is aluminium, proper non-return flaps are used and the bracket used to hold the baffle in place spans the entire circumference of the sump. The sump is very similar to the original Prodrive sumps, the only differences being the use of rubber (rather than aluminium) flaps and angled top-plate which encourages oil to flow down the surge tube. Special thanks to John Felstead for the supply of the sump, don't hesitate to get in touch with him via the link provided if you wish to enquire about purchasing a similar item.
You may have also noticed that the website has undergone a mini-makeover. The most significant change is the addition of PayPal 'buy it now' options for the most commonly requested products. Together with the help of my long-suffering girlfriend (who has offered to send out parts while i am away) i hope this will speed up the overall buying process. I've also added a Phase Identification Guide to help people identify injectors, inlet manifolds, fuel rails etc.
