Version 4 STi Type RA For Sale Take II
October 2009

Unfortunately i had no luck selling the car in full specification. Being a tight jock i couldn't bring myself to give the car away so instead decided to return it to near-standard specification. I aimed to do the suspension and brakes in one day and do the engine and telemetry in another. I succeeded in doing the chassis bits in a day but the engine and telemetry stretched into three days! Still, not bad considering the amount of parts that were fitted and the level of work that was required to remove everything!

In order to remove the AP Racing brake setup i ordered a pair of reconditioned Subaru 4-pot front brake calipers from Ian Godney at Godpseed, check them out in the last picture.

Everything that was fitted to the car has now been sold or is up for sale. A lot of parts are advertised on eBay now so be sure to click here to check for bargains!

What surprised me about the car was how much fun it still is to drive even without the extra power, handling tweaks and demon AP brakes. The sticky R888's are a delight to drive on and the VF-series turbo sees that boost is made nice and quickly. Braking still confidence-inspiring with the braided hoses and reconditioned setup and the car also looks good on the white Speedlines.

The car is once again advertised on here and on Pistonheads, grab a bargain, you won't regret it!
