Inlet Manifold Adaptors (Ph.1 > Ph.2)

These adaptors are designed to allow fitment of early Phase 1 or Phase 1.5 inlet manifolds to later Phase 2 cylinder heads. Ideal if you want to reap the rewards of the more efficient MY99-onwards cylinder heads available without the hassle of intstalling the later specification manifold. The adaptors can also be used to fit a more free-flowing Phase 1 or Phase 1.5 inlet manifold to a MY99-onwards car already fitted with the later specification cylinder heads.

The 20mm thick spacers bolt directly to the Phase 2 Impreza cylinder heads, the Phase 1 or Phase 1.5 manifold is then bolted to the adaptors. Anodised silver for a lasting finish the adaptors are supplied with all the necessary stainless steel bolts and washers for installation. Please specify which manifold you are fitting when ordering.

IMPORTANT: Due to differences in cylinder head design the Phase 1 or Phase 1.5 inlet manifold used will need to be cut and extended by around 12-14mm prior to fitting (see picture 4).

An OEM gasket must be used on both sides of each spacer; this is Subaru part number S14035AA281 for the manifold-adaptor gasket and S14035AA421 for the adaptor-cylinder head gasket.
