Following more than four years of constant development i am proud to be able to offer these Insulated Billet Aluminium Fuel Rails for sale.
These rails are unqiue in that they insulate the rail from the heat of the inlet manifold. This is done via the use of an adaptor plate that has been machined from a carefully chosen variant of Nylon 66, a material with a very low heat transfer coefficient. This adaptor plate sits between the manifold and the fuel rail, not only limiting heat transfer but providing a neat solution which allows any pair of rails to be fitted to any Version 1 - 6 (classic-shape) Impreza. The adaptor plate is complimented by a pair of insulating bushes that are pressed into each rail to limit heat transfer through the retaining bolts.
As you'd expect the rails stay even cooler when the inlet manifold is also insulated with a pair of Manifold Insulation Spacers (10mm). My favourite quote came from Steven Darley who commented that with his water and oil temps at a respective 86 and 84 degrees the fuel rails were "cold to touch and condensating".
A further benefit of these rails is that they are lighter, albeit only slightly, than the standard steel rails.

Fitting Pre-Requisites
The fuel rails are designed to work in conjunction with Phase 2-style injectors only. This includes the standard 440cc injectors fitted to MY99-00 cars as well as the Nismo 555cc and 740cc injectors, see here if you're not sure which injectors you have. As well as this the rails must be installed with an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator such as an SX, Fuelabs, Aeromotive or FSE.
